Pilotage
Port Phillip Sea Pilots and Poseidon Sea Pilots provide pilotage services within Western Port.
Pilots are licensed by Transport Safety Victoria. Pilotage is compulsory for all commercial ships exceeding 35m length except those whose master is specifically exempt from pilotage.
Pilots for Western Port are available on a 24 hour basis. ETA must be given not less than 48 hours prior to ship’s arrival.
